This tool tracks the relative strength of NSE-listed stocks using daily bhavcopy data, grouping them into sectors to help identify where money is rotating in the market.
What It Measures:
Each stock is scored daily on four factors that together capture price momentum, trading strength, volume activity, and trend direction:
Momentum (35% weight): Average rate of price change over the last 10 and 20 trading sessions.
RSI (20% weight): 14-day Relative Strength Index, a classic measure of overbought/oversold strength.
Volume (20% weight): Today's traded volume compared to its 20-day average, highlighting unusual participation.
Moving Average Trend (25% weight): Whether the stock is trading above its 20-day and 50-day moving averages.
Calculation:
Each of the four factors is converted into a percentile rank (0–100) by comparing every stock against the rest of the market on that date. This means a stock's score reflects how it stands relative to the entire universe that day, not just its own history.
These four percentile ranks are combined using the weights above into a single Composite Score (0–100) for every stock, for every trading day.
Understanding the Rotation Levels:
This tool offers two levels of rotation:
Sector Rotation: Averages the composite scores of all stocks within each sector, giving a bird's-eye view of which sectors are gaining or losing relative strength.
Stock Rotation: Shows the individual composite score for each stock, useful for drilling down within a sector that's showing strength.
For both, the table shows the Composite Score as of the Latest session, along with scores from 5, 10, 15, and 20 trading sessions earlier — so you can track how relative strength is building or fading over roughly the last month.
How to Read and Use?
Sorting: Sort the table in descending order by the Latest column to surface today's strongest stocks or sectors. A higher score means greater relative strength versus the rest of the market.
Trend Analysis: Read across a row from -20 Days to Latest. Scores rising over time indicate strengthening relative momentum; scores falling over time indicate weakening momentum — even if the Latest score itself still looks decent.
